Gran Fondo Rockies Event- August 10, 2013
On Saturday August 10, 2013 starting at Nanton, you can test your physical strength and mental endurance in one of the more challenging gran fondo events to take place this year.
Gran Fondo Rockies has four distances to choose from:
Gran Fondo Rockies -170km | Medio Fondo 140km or 100km | Piccolo Fondo - 60km
With the majestic rocky mountains in the backdrop, you, your family, friends and fellow cyclists can experience an authentic gran fondo complete with a post ride Italian style lunch at the finish line.
Mens' & Womens' 170km Prize Money
- Men's Placement 1st:$200 - 2nd: $150 - 3rd: $75

For all participants under the age of 18 years, Gran Fondo Rockies Waiver must be signed by a parent at package pickup.

Volunteer And Win A Prize For Best Aid Station
Come out and be part of the cycling culture and have some fun!
There will be prizes for the most interesting, unusual, weird or wacky aid station, so get your friends together and go crazy! Pit yourself against your friends or family and see who has the best imagination. Four people per aid station are required. The cyclists will be the best judges!
This is a great family friendly environment so come out with your kids, spouses, grandmothers, grandfathers and share part of this exciting day with us! We have lots of interesting and exciting positions to choose from. All volunteers get a free shirt and a great Italian lunch.
